Scrap Busting!!

Updated: Jul 7, 2023

HAPPY MONDAY!!!!

I love Monday's when I am off, I really love my job (teacher....more on that another day LOL) and I TREASURE my time off.

This summer I have devoted to cleaning up the house a bit and working on my website and of course, using my scraps for charity quilts!

Today was the day I tackled cleaning my laundry room. We have lived in this house for almost 23 years and you know how things pile up and you get busy living life and things don't get done. Well, that was the saga of my laundry room shelves. I am pretty sure they were just there to store WHATEVER we couldn't fit in the rest of the house. I won't even mention the dated stuff I found on those shelves. Suffice it to say, I filled an entire garbage can of stuff and also the recycle bin is full too. And look how pretty my shelves are now!

It's really fun to do laundry again! LOL

It also was back breaking and I spent the rest of the day in my studio working on adding another page to the website. Check out the new key chain pouches I put in there!

They are great for holding your keys and money for the beach, stuff for the baby, doggie plastic poop bags.....just about anything you want really! Even a mini first aid kit!

I also purchased a GREAT pattern last week for scrap busting....I mean that is the title of this week's post right? First of all, I have no connection to the person who made up the pattern and this isn't an affiliate link either. I just happen to love this pattern and want to share it with you all. It's very reasonable priced at $12 and I love how I can use lots of different fabrics and I am S L O W L Y

using up some fabrics that have been hanging around my studio FOREVER! I think quilters all share that problem!

Look at the sample block I made!

I just love how it looks.....the best part has to be the way she has us sew the flying geese together. Those directions ALONE are worth the $12. SUPER EASY!! She is truly a genius and I love how it came out.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon cutting up the pieces I need so I can sew it altogether.

These are all the pieces I cut out and I am ready to sew!!

I know you want to get one too so here is the link for the pattern.

Let me know if you get it and share your pictures here!

I am also doing two online events this week. Here are the links to join. Just use my name to say who referred you to join. They have great vendors and lots of neat prizes and gift cards to win.

I hope you can join me!!
